The Harleyford Irrigation Project continues to move forward at a strong pace, helped by the recent spell of dry weather which has provided ideal working conditions.
The mainline installation is now complete on holes 4, 5, 6, and 8, with jointing works currently underway. The next phase of activity will move across to holes 10 through 14, as the team continues to work methodically around the course.
Yesterday, Roger from Irritech, our project architect, attended site to assist with marking out the next few holes between 10 and 14. His expertise ensures that everything is set out precisely before the next section of works begins.
The mole ploughing has been progressing smoothly. We’ve only come across a few small areas of flint, but these have not caused any hold-ups and have been dealt with quickly to keep the project on schedule.
There has been no flushing or pressure testing yet, as this will take place once further sections of the system are in place. All cables will be tied up and tested as work continues, ensuring everything remains secure and correctly installed.
Overall, it’s been another productive week on site, and momentum continues to build as we move further into the installation phase.
