Irrigation mark up

Following a challenging period of weather-related delays, we’re pleased to report that work on the irrigation project is now progressing extremely well. The recent spell of dry weather has made a significant difference on site, allowing the team to accelerate works and access areas that were previously too wet to operate on.

Excellent Progress Across the Course

To date, substantial ground has been covered. Installation works are now complete on:

  • 2nd Tees

  • 2nd Fairway pipework (with approximately half of the sprinklers installed)

  • 2nd Green

  • All of Hole 3

  • All of Hole 7

  • Hole 13 (pipework installed, with green sprinklers to follow)

  • 12th Green

  • 18th Tees

In addition, the new water main has been successfully installed, and all but approximately 100 metres of the mainline pipework is now in place. Improved ground conditions have also allowed us to roll and reinstate previously inaccessible areas, enhancing overall course presentation.

What’s Happening Next

Work continues at a strong pace, with clear plans for the coming weeks:

  • Next week (W/C 23rd):

    • Completion of remaining sprinkler installation on the 2nd Fairway

    • Progression onto the 17th hole, with fairway and green works running through to Thursday

    • Following the Irritech visit, works will commence on the 14th hole

  • The following week (W/C 30th):

    • Completion of the 14th hole

    • Progression onto the 1st hole and 18th Green

  • Week after (W/C 6th):

    • Completion of the 18th hole

    • Works on the putting and chipping green areas

Final Phase

The final stages of the project will include:

  • Site-wide snagging

  • Additional rolling and surface refinement

  • Full system testing, including overnight irrigation cycles

Importantly, the system has remained live throughout the project, and we do not anticipate any issues during commissioning.

Supporting the Course as Conditions Improve

Water is now available across all areas of the course, meaning irrigation can be utilised wherever required as the weather continues to improve. The team is on hand to support this as needed, ensuring optimal playing conditions are maintained.
