The Harleyford Irrigation Project continues to make excellent progress as we approach the end of the year. Around 90% of the mainline has now been installed, with the final section awaiting water main tracing of an existing water feed that provides some houses on the golf course.. To help move this forward, the Club is looking into the possibility of re-routing the existing water main.

Out on the course, work has advanced well, with sprinklers and lateral pipework now in place on Holes 4, 5, 6, 8, and 9. Holes 10 and 3 are scheduled for completion before the Christmas break, keeping the project on track despite some bad weather delays that we have had to combat with.

Recent rainfall has made rolling and repairing fine turf more challenging, but as soon as conditions improve, these areas will be addressed. In addition to the ongoing works, Green Irrigation will also be looking at installing a mains water supply to the Tee 14 area, allowing the Club to provide drinking water on the golf course.

The team from Green Irrigation will finish on site on the 19th of December and return on the 5th of January 2026. During their break, all golf holes will remain open, and machinery will be removed from the course. Before leaving for Christmas, Green Irrigation will drain down the mainline to ensure everything is left safely.

Looking ahead to early January, the architect has already marked out Holes 10, 3, and Green 16 for the next phase of work, aligning plans with the Club and making only essential adjustments to fine turf areas.

Have a great Christmas!
