Competitions & Sign-Ups

Good Afternoon,

I hope you have all enjoyed both the weather and being back at golf this week. Competitions and sign-ups are due to return on Saturday, 10th April 2021.

Competition & Sign-Up Bookings

As with the current tee times, booking for competitions and sign-ups is seven days in advance with the opening time being 06.30hrs.

For MAJOR’s, the booking opening will be four weeks in advance. To book for a competition:

Go to the IG app or website, select ‘Competitions’ select ‘Upcoming’, select the competition or sign-up you would like to enter then select ‘Enter this Competition.

Different competitions and sign will allow you to book your name in different ways. Some will allow you to select a tee time, some will allow you to select a zone, and some will enter you in preparation for a draw closer to the competition or sign-up date.

The competition and sign-up schedule going forward can be seen under upcoming competitions.

 Those without active handicap indexes can still enter competitions and sign-ups to submit a card for handicap purposes.

Entering Competitions Outside Booking Slots

With the exceptions of our Major competitions members are more than welcome to enter competitions outside the allocated booking slots providing their score is submitted electronically before the competition closes at 21.00hrs.

Jubilee Cup

The first MAJOR of the year will be the Jubilee Cup. This will be held on Saturday, 24th April 2021. The sign up for the Jubilee Cup is open and available to book. We will attempt to get as many members as possible playing in this competition. For members without a handicap, there is still time to establish one to play in the Jubilee Cup.

Club Championships

The 2021 Club Championships will be held on Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd May. The sign up will open on Saturday, 24th April 2021. There are handicap limits for entry to the Club Championships. These are listed on the IG competition entry.
