Course Update: Trialing Next-Generation Robotic Mowers

This week, on the 17th and 18th, we welcomed a new generation of robotic mowers to the golf course as part of an exciting trial with a company we are considering partnering with. For those of you who remember the robotic mower that was trialled on the 4th hole previously, this latest technology is on a completely different level. The quality of cut is exceptionally precise, delivering a consistently immaculate finish that is difficult to achieve through conventional methods alone. One of the most impressive features is the ability for these mowers to work around the clock. Operating day and night, they can maintain designated areas with incredible accuracy, ensuring a consistently high standard of presentation across the course.

We genuinely believe this technology represents the future of golf course maintenance. By taking care of routine mowing tasks, these robotic mowers allow our greenkeeping team to focus more of their time on the finer details that make such a difference to the overall playing experience—manicuring key areas, enhancing presentation, and continuing to improve the course for all members and visitors. We hope to have the machines back on site for further trials over the coming weeks and months, so keep an eye out for them during your rounds. We look forward to sharing more updates as we continue to explore how this exciting technology could become part of the club’s future.
