30 Years of Harleyford Golf Club: Celebrating Our Past, Present and Future

Thirty years ago, Harleyford Golf Club opened its doors with a vision of creating an exceptional golfing experience in one of the most beautiful settings in the country. Three decades later, the club has become so much more than a golf course. It is a community, a place where lifelong friendships have been formed, memorable competitions have been won, and countless rounds have been enjoyed.

This summer, we are proud to celebrate Harleyford Golf Club's 30th Anniversary and reflect on the incredible journey that has brought us to this milestone. Over the years, Harleyford has welcomed thousands of members and guests, hosted memorable events and competitions, and continually evolved to provide the outstanding facilities and service that members enjoy today.

While much has changed since those early days, the spirit of Harleyford has remained the same – a passion for great golf and a welcoming atmosphere that makes the club so special. To mark the occasion, we have planned a week of celebrations from Monday 29th June to Sunday 5th July, giving members the opportunity to look back on the club's history while enjoying a range of anniversary activities and special offers. Throughout the week, members can explore our Heritage Display, which charts the development of Harleyford Golf Club over the last 30 years.

From the club's earliest days through to the present, the display highlights the people, moments and achievements that have shaped Harleyford into the club we know today. Members can also enjoy 30% off beers and wines throughout the week, alongside special anniversary prizes in every competition. We're also inviting members to share their favourite Harleyford memories for a chance to win a round with the Tyrrells buggy. Whether it's a hole-in-one, a competition victory, a memorable society day or simply a story shared with friends, we'd love to hear what Harleyford means to you.

The Big Day: Sunday 5th July

The celebrations will culminate in our flagship 30th Anniversary Competition on Sunday 5th July, which has attracted a fantastic field of 120 players. The day promises to be a true celebration of everything that makes Harleyford special, with on-course entertainment, refreshments and plenty of opportunities for members to come together and enjoy the occasion. Players will be welcomed with coffee, bacon rolls and anniversary goody bags before heading out for a shotgun start. Around the course, competitors will be able to take part in a variety of challenges and enjoy refreshments from some fantastic local partners, creating a festival atmosphere from the first tee to the final putt. But the celebrations aren't just for those playing in the competition.

From 3:00pm onwards, all members are invited to join us as the clubhouse comes alive for an afternoon of food, drinks and anniversary celebrations. Food vendors will be on site, players will return from the course, stories from the day will be shared, and we will come together for the prize presentation and anniversary celebrations.

Anniversaries provide an opportunity not only to look back but also to look forward. As we celebrate 30 years of Harleyford Golf Club, we would like to thank every member, past and present, who has contributed to the club's success and character. The friendships, support and community spirit that exist today are the result of those who have been part of Harleyford's story over the last three decades.
