Bob Welfare- Ford's epic walk for the Eve Appeal

Good Morning,

Congratulations to Bob Welfare-Ford on his amazing achievement of completing the Thames Walk for the second time.  In doing so he has raised nearly £1600.00 for the Captains' charity, The Eve Appeal, which is tremendous.

We have chosen the Eve Appeal this year for a very personal reason.

Last August, just two weeks before Helen's son, James was due to get married, Rosie was diagnosed with a rare form of ovarian cancer.  A couple of weeks after the wedding, Rosie underwent a full hysterectomy and then struggled through a gruelling schedule of chemo. A couple of weeks ago, she was given the all-clear.

James and Rosie Gyselynck are now looking to raise money for research via the Eve Appeal, into her rare Mucinous Ovarian cancer which mainly affects young women, and because of the relatively small numbers, attracts little funding for research into early diagnosis and improved treatment options.

So a very big thank you to all those who have donated so far,  and to Bob for kindly offering to raise money for the Captain's charity.
