Harleyford Golf club
Men’s & Ladies Club Championship
What an amazing weekend of golf with the final winner of the Club Championship not decided until the very last putt of the day.
114 members competed over the weekend's competitions: The Club Championship, the Ladies Club Championships, the Men's Nett Champion and the Men's Plate. Despite the rain, the standard of golf was incredibly high with the top four players in the Men's Championship completing the two rounds under par.
The 2021 Club Champion is Iggy McGuiness with a score of 142, two under par.
In second was Jonathan Kingsbury and third was Taylor Paul both of whom were one under par.
The 2021 Ladies Club Champion was Thalia Kirby with a score of 144, also two under par.
In second was Rachel Goodwin with another impressive score of 161. Thalia's second-day score was a phenomenal four under par with 69!
This is a new amateur ladies course record. Click here to see Thalia's scorecard which is also now on display within the Clubhouse.

Many congratulations to all the winners and best of luck to Iggy, Luke, Will and Taylor who are competing in the EuroPro this week representing Harleyford.
These events cannot be successful without the hard work and commitment of a great number of people. Many thanks to Craig and his greens staff who got the course into excellent condition despite two months of very unseasonal weather; Jack, Kevin and the team for ensuring the event ran smoothly in the background; the members who helped as starters, recorded scores on the board and marshalled, plus a special thanks to Nigel Parry who once again organised the competition and entered all the scores over the two days.
