Harleyford Golf club
Dear Member,
Just a few small points to update you with in regards to the golf course.
1) 18th Hole - Craig has installed a simple device that allows you to retrieve your ball with your putter whilst letting the ball drop the full depth of the cup. This is in preparation for the eventual return of competitions. Feedback is welcome as we will be looking to roll something similar to this out across the whole course before long.
2) Pitchmarks - There has been a large number of noticeable pitchmarks out on the course. The greenkeepers are doing their best to repair them on their course checks however, please ensure that if you make a pitchmark, repair your one and one other. By everyone doing this, the course will continue to stay in great condition.
3) Tees - There has also been an increase in wooden tees being pushed deep into the teeing area. This damages the cutting blades on the machines and makes it very difficult for the greenkeepers to maintain. Please throw your broken or unwanted tees in the tee pot, your golf bag or a bin.
4) Tee Blocks - From tomorrow, Tuesday, 26th May 2020, all five tee blocks will be out. Members are welcome to use the different courses however please ensure you keep pace of play with the group in front.
Should anyone have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Best Regards,
Jack Slade
